Sussex County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange release, post bond, obtain an official booking record, or decide whether a photo is releasable. For those questions, contact the office that created or maintains the record directly.
Sussex Sheriff OPRA Route
The Sheriff’s published OPRA route is the primary county path for an identifiable Sussex booking, custody, transport, or related record that is not posted online. Ask for the record by type and date, and ask separately whether a booking photograph is maintained and legally disclosable.

Use the Sheriff’s OPRA instructions and its official request form. The Sheriff’s Office, the prosecutor, and other county offices can be separate custodians.
Municipal Police Records
For an arrest report or local incident material, start with the arresting police department. A municipal report does not automatically include a county booking record or a photo. Each department’s records unit can identify the form and current procedure.

Custody and Case Status
Sussex inmates have been housed at Morris County Correctional Facility under the Sheriff’s current shared-service description, but physical housing is not the same as records ownership. For later court events, use NJ Courts Find a Case or the Morris/Sussex Vicinage. New Jersey VINE is the official custody-notification service for victims and authorized users. State, federal, and immigration custody questions belong with the NJDOC, BOP, or ICE locator when the facts warrant that check.
